Hi there! I'm Donatas, aka Donce. I consider myself a balanced developer, or simply a surfer who happens to love coding. As you might guess, I tend to spend more time in the ocean chasing waves than sitting in front of a computer screen. But when I do code, I create good stuff! :D

I started my web development journey back in 2008. It was like the wild west back then - I was using PHP Fusion to develop my first websites, and PHP will always have a special place in my heart. These days, I tend to prefer Ruby on Rails.

Simplicity over complexity is how I write code and educate other developers. I strongly believe that if a project requires more than two developers, it's likely over-engineered and unnecessarily complex. This is one of the reasons why I prefer frameworks like Ruby on Rails and vanilla JavaScript over complex meta frontend frameworks like Nuxt and Next.js. Even though I have extensive experience with them, I value simplicity. So if you need help simplifying your web apps or platforms, don't hesitate to reach out.

I also enjoy video games like Path of Exile 2, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and TFT. I'm a fan of manga and anime (please don't judge!) and I'm currently reading One Piece. When I'm not surfing, you can find me at the local gym somewhere in Lithuania, lifting weights and preparing for my next surf trip.
