Hi there! I'm Donatas, aka Donce. I build backend systems, Rails apps, internal AI tools, and self-hosted setups. I still consider myself a surfer who happens to love coding, but these days there is a lot more production debugging, Codex, Claude Code, Linux, and PM2 involved.

I started my web development journey back in 2008. It was like the wild west back then - I was using PHP Fusion to develop my first websites, and PHP will always have a special place in my heart. These days I spend more time with TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, MongoDB, and Ruby on Rails.

Right now a lot of my work is around Breezit. I work on backend services, vendor and admin platforms, PM2 monitoring, deployment tooling, production debugging, and internal AI tools. I also build AI assisted development workflows with Codex, Claude Code, Slack bots, Autopilot loops, replay tools, synthetic replay tests for AI generated code, and review loops that catch problems before shipping.

Simplicity over complexity is still how I like to write code. I admire Rails, boring tools, async ownership, and small teams that ship. DHH is a cool dude and I admire him a lot. Hope one day I can write awesome code like DHH. But I guess I spend way too much time in the gym and planning my next surf trip. Ahhh what a vicious cycle.

I also like Linux, Arch, Neovim, self-hosting, and keeping my own server alive. If this website is down, I probably broke something or my home server is having one of those days. Outside of code, I enjoy video games, manga, anime, gym sessions, and planning the next surf trip.
